Things I did not know

That she doesn't sweat, ever. (Yes, she does, btw.) Then she told my oldest two that she doesn't sweat because she doesn't have 'sweat holes' in her skin. THEN she said that because she doesn't have these 'holes' she CAN'T be stung by wasps or bees. They can't get their stingers in her because there are no holes for the stinger to go in.

Yep, folks, step right up and see the amazing plastic skinned woman living in my house. Then we'll find some bees and you can watch them fly backwards at her aiming for holes that don't exist in her skin! lol.


Right after that she told them that if you see bees swarming (I had been talking about wanting a bee hive later on earlier in the day, if you're wondering how this came up) that you can calm them down by going out there with a pot and a stick and banging the stick on the pot. That will not only calm them down, but they'll go back in and not swarm.

At which point I interrupted and told them not to EVER do that because you WILL get stung because they do not like the vibrations. Then we discussed how swarming is because of a new queen and not like just buying a new house for the heck of it, so you aren't going to convince them to stay inside with two queens in the same hive.

Whole 'nother world she's living in sometimes.
